Language is the house with lamplight in its windows

but the body is a grassy field

filled to the brim with starlight.

Slip among the dark blades --

you are that creature

who is both prey

and predator. Lamplight is

a caged fury. Wouldn't this house

look brilliant on fire,

an imploding 

star,

reaching out?
